My Story
Hi, I’m Bao Hoang, and also go by Bobo. I’m currently completing my graduate practicum as part of my journey to become a professional counselor. I graduated with a B.A. in Musical Theatre in 2018 and have been working as a professional stage and screen actor. The experience taught me the power of storytelling, empathy, and authentic connection. My background in the arts continues to shape how I hold space for others, especially those navigating identity, self-worth, and the impacts of trauma.
As a future counselor, I’m passionate about working with clients of all ages, but I feel especially called to nurture and support the emotional growth of children. I’m currently working toward becoming a Registered Play Therapist and believe in the healing power of creativity, play, and early intervention to help young minds feel safe, seen, and strong.

I’m proud to be a first-generation Vietnamese immigrant and find deep meaning in supporting individuals and families from diverse cultural backgrounds. Whether your child is exploring big emotions, adapting to change, or learning new ways to connect, I’d be honored to walk alongside your family on that journey.
Outside the therapy room, you’ll likely find me tending to my plants, doting on my fur babies, or decorating the home to make it feel cozy and full of life.
